Basic Electronics Kit
Product Code : JL-LEP-10403
The Basic Electronics Kit (SKU JL-LEP-10403) is a set of twelve board-mounted components, resistors, rectifier diodes, an LED, an NPN transistor, electrolytic capacitors and a variable resistor, for activities on resistance, capacitance and ohmic and non-ohmic behaviour. Each part in this basic electronics kit sits on its own labelled board with colour-coded 4 mm binding posts, so circuits are built quickly with banana-plug leads. JaincoLab manufactures it in India for school and college physics.
Specifications
The kit contains twelve components on individual boards of at least 60 × 80 × 5 mm, each with its name and symbol permanently marked and 4 mm binding posts colour-coded black (negative), red (positive) or yellow (non-polar): five 2 W resistors, two IN 4002 diodes, a large LED, an NPN transistor, two 1000 µF 25 V capacitors and a 5 kilohm rotary variable resistor.

Applications of the basic electronics kit
Students connect the boards with banana-plug leads, a power supply and meters to investigate how each component behaves, moving from series and parallel resistors to diodes, capacitors and a simple transistor switch.
- Verifying Ohm’s law with the fixed resistors and comparing ohmic and non-ohmic behaviour
- Combining resistors in series and parallel
- Showing one-way conduction in the rectifier diodes and the LED
- Charging and discharging the 1000 µF capacitors
- Building a simple transistor switch and a variable-resistor dimmer in secondary and college electronics
