The Tong Crucible (SKU JL-LEP-10280) lifts and holds hot crucibles, and also grips flasks, evaporating dishes and small beakers. These crucible tongs are scissor-like, made of smooth-finish stainless steel, with two concave pincers whose serrated tips grip curved surfaces securely. They are 9 inches (229 mm) long with a 7 inch reach, and the riveted joint keeps the jaws aligned. They are used whenever strongly heated items are moved from a burner or furnace.
