The Water Electrolysis Apparatus (SKU JL-GLE-10891) is a Hofmann-type voltameter made by JaincoLab for showing that water can be split into hydrogen and oxygen by an electric current. It has three glass tubes: two graduated 25 ml tubes, each with an electrode at the bottom and a glass tap at the top, and a central tube with a reservoir for filling. With a low-voltage direct current the gases collect in the side tubes, where their volumes can be read and compared. The apparatus stands 600 to 650 mm high.
