Ripple Tank

The Ripple Tank (SKU JL-LE-10514, Cat. No. JSS-555/032) shows the laws of wave motion using ripples on a water surface as a model for transverse waves. A vibration generator drives dippers to make straight and circular waves, and Perspex objects placed in the water show refraction, diffraction and interference. A projection mirror throws the wave pattern onto a screen so a whole class can see it. The tank stands on four legs with levelling screws.
