The Rheostat Single Tube (SKU JA-SI-8140) is a sliding rheostat for controlling current in school and college circuits. Heavily oxidised resistance wire is wound on a vitreous enamelled steel tube and locked in place with ceramic cement, and the tube rests on robust enamelled die-cast end stands. Socket terminals allow it to be wired either as a rheostat or as a potential divider.
