The Platinum Resistance Thermometer (SKU JA-ELA-5462) is made by JaincoLab for measuring temperature from the electrical resistance of pure platinum wire. A platinum resistance thermometer, one kind of resistance temperature detector (RTD), uses the fact that the resistance of platinum rises steadily with temperature. In this instrument, platinum wire of 2.8 ohm is wound on a mica frame and enclosed in a glass tube, with two platinum leads and two compensating leads brought out to terminals.
