Oersted Apparatus
Product Code : JA-ELA-5412
The Oersted Apparatus (SKU JA-ELA-5412) is made by JaincoLab to demonstrate the action of an electric current on a magnet, the effect first observed by Oersted. A 75 mm cobalt steel needle turns on an agate bearing and pivot mounted on a plastic base. Around it stands a 130 x 50 mm rectangular frame in the vertical plane, with 4 mm socket terminals through which the current is passed.
Specifications
The needle is cobalt steel, 75 mm long, on an agate bearing; the vertical frame measures 130 x 50 mm and carries two 4 mm socket terminals at one end and one at the other.
