Although named Magnetic Kit, SKU JL-GLE-11257 is a JaincoLab static electricity kit: all of its listed parts are for electrostatics. Rubbing the polyethylene strip and plates with the woollen cloth charges them; four metallised polystyrene spheres on nylon thread show attraction and repulsion; and an electroscope with leaves in a case not less than 200 mm across detects the charge. An aluminium can and a plate on an insulating handle are used for charge transfer and induction.
