The Magnetic Field Demo Lon Solenoid (SKU JL-LE-10685, Cat. No. JSS-899/0100) is for investigating the magnetic field associated with a solenoid coil. A multi-loop solenoid of 1.5 mm copper wire, 51 mm in diameter and 92 mm long, is mounted on an acrylic sheet with socket connections; with current flowing, iron filings or small compasses on the sheet show the field pattern through and around the coil.
