Kipps Apparatus
Product Code : JA-GL-56
The polyethylene Kipps apparatus is a three-part gas generator used in school and college chemistry laboratories to produce hydrogen sulphide for salt analysis. Dilute acid poured through the thistle funnel and bulb in the top section reacts with a metal sulphide in the base, and the gas collects in the middle dome. It is drawn off through a leakproof stopcock with a self-lubricating PTFE plug. The base has a capped outlet for draining residue and cleaning (SKU JA-GL-56).
