Electrical Vibrator
Product Code : JA-SI-8026
The Electrical Vibrator (SKU JA-SI-8026) is used to find the frequency of the AC mains. A thin steel rod, magnetised along its length, is clamped at one end and passes through a small solenoid connected to the mains through a suitable lamp resistance. A horseshoe magnet makes the rod vibrate at the supply frequency, and its length can be adjusted so that its natural frequency matches the supply. It is mounted on a polished wooden base with a pulley, pan and cord.
