e/m Apparatus
Product Code : JL-LE-10490
The e/m Apparatus (SKU JL-LE-10490, Cat. No. JSS-026/020) is used to find the charge-to-mass ratio of the electron. A fine electron beam forms inside a vacuum tube, and a pair of Helmholtz coils around it bends the beam into a circle. Low-pressure helium in the tube glows along the beam, and the orbit diameter is read on an internal glass scale. It is supplied by JaincoLab.

Scope of supply and ordering
The listing covers the tube and coil assembly; power supplies and meters are separate, so list them with the quantity, and the quotation confirms packing and lead time.
Frequently asked questions
How is the beam made visible?
Helium at low pressure inside the tube fluoresces along the beam path.
How is the orbit diameter measured?
On the internal glass scale, whose fluorescent marks light up where the beam strikes them.
