The DNA Model (SKU JL-LEP-10317) is a three-dimensional double helix for teaching the structure of DNA. It shows 16 to 22 base-pair layers built from colour-coded, non-toxic plastic parts for thymine, adenine, guanine and cytosine, joined to a backbone of deoxyribose sugar and phosphate that can be removed and separated with individual base pairs. The DNA double helix model stands 23 to 25 inches tall on a support rod over a rotatable base 7 to 9 inches across, and it can be uncoiled and unzipped into two strands.
