The Dish Evaporating (SKU JL-LEP-10260) is used to demonstrate evaporation as a technique for separating mixtures. This porcelain evaporating dish is deep form, broad and wider at the top than the bottom, with a round bottom and a pouring lip. It measures 80 to 82 mm across and 30 to 34 mm deep, holds 75 mL and withstands temperatures up to 1150°C, so it can be heated directly on a tripod and gauze or over a flame.
