Which brush for which vessel
Choosing the right brush depends on the neck and bore of the glassware being cleaned:
- Flask and bottle brushes reach the shoulders of conical flasks, reagent bottles and aspirators
- Test tube brushes, with a fan end, clean the rounded bottom of tubes from 10 to 25 mm diameter
- Burette and pipette brushes pass along narrow graduated tubes
- Beaker brushes clean wide, open vessels, and dusting brushes clear benches and trays
