The Automatic Knife Sharpener (SKU JA-SI-6582) hones microtome knives up to 140 mm long. The knife strokes against a glass honing plate; after three equal strokes on one side, a cam follower turns the knife so the other side receives three strokes, and the cycle repeats for the time set on the 0-60 minute timer. A transparent plexiglass cover keeps dust and grit out, and the unit stands on vibration-absorbing rubber feet.
