The Apparatus for Distributing Electric Charges, SKU JL-GLE-11229, is a JaincoLab electrostatics set for showing how charge spreads over conductors. Four metal spheres on 50 mm insulating handles carry charge between objects, two aluminium cans act as hollow conductors, and a gold leaf electroscope 200 mm in diameter shows how much charge each sample carries. Polyethylene and celluloid tapes with a friction cloth provide the charge. A sphere touched to the outside of a charged can and then to the electroscope shows charge, while one touched to the inside shows almost none.
