The Apparatus for Demonstrating Hooke's Law, SKU JL-GLE-11246, is a JaincoLab set-up for finding the elasticity (spring) constant. A spiral spring hangs from a tripod stand with a vertical rod 700-900 mm high; masses of 10-50 g are added and the extension is measured with the metre strip. Because a digital stopwatch is included, the same spring can also be set oscillating and timed. Hooke's law states that the extension of a spring is proportional to the force applied, up to the limit of proportionality.
