The Algebra Tiles (SKU JL-LEP-10284) are used to teach algebraic concepts by building expressions with shapes. The set has blue square tiles for x squared, about 89 x 89 mm, green long tiles for x, 89 x 21 mm, and yellow ones tiles for constants, 21 x 21 mm, all 1 mm thick. Each tile has a red back, so turning it over shows a negative term. With algebra tiles, pupils can model, add and factorise expressions and see why the rules work.
